JIA Industrial Applicator

This applicator differs from any label application technology on the market today.

The JIA is based on a double acting air amplifier which simplifies and enhances label application. The speed, range and accuracy of label propulsion makes the JIA a unique labelling concept. Each applicator kit contains an adaptor which allows change between 90 degrees and vertical labelling.

The label is dispensed by the thermal printer onto the face of the air amplifier (applicator) and is held there by suction. The air-amplifier and label move to the labelling position where the suction is then released and a shot of air propels the label onto the target surface. The JIA is supplied with a power-pack and an air-filter-regulator. External air is required at 4-bar (60 psi).

This non-contact applicator, made of aluminium, fits with a standard thermal printer by way of attachment to the base plate of the printer. The applicator has multiple interfaces, the principal
being RS232, with secondary interfaces being 24v logic and IIC.

The JIA is ideal for RFID and BARCODE labelling. It is also an excellent option for industries requiring
‘live-time’ in-line labelling of packaged processed food stuffs and industrial goods.
