Touch Screen Computers (Harsh Environment)

Cedar Creek’s Harsh Environment Computers have been developed to withstand the knocks; dust and high pressure wash downs that are commonplace in food processing and industrial environments. This allows for data to be inputted on the floor, rather than waiting to return to the office. In turn it also allows for those on the factory floor to see real-time change to production requirements.  It can be used in conjunction with printers, barcode readers, RFID readers and other devices to improve manufacturing efficiency or satisfy compliance.

The resulting range of industrial Touchscreen Computers comprises both SBC (single board computer) and Thin-Client models. Each is housed in a rugged, stainless steel, IP65-rated enclosure, with a high-quality Sharp® 12.1 inch TFT colour LCD display and an ELO® resistive touchscreen.

All models have MS Windows® operating systems, offering users the familiarity and flexibility of a full GUI environment, allowing easy-to-use, intuitive software, rather than the limitations of programmable buttons. Operator interface is via the touchscreen, using specially developed Cedar Creek software applications.

Each of our Touchscreen Computers offer a range of connectivity options: to a network via Ethernet, to devices such as scales and scanners via RS232 serial ports, and to printers and other peripherals via parallel and USB ports.
